Create NSW has today announced that Kerri Glasscock has been appointed as its new Executive Director. Taking up the position in June, she will also step down from her current position as Festival Director and CEO of the Sydney Fringe Festival after 12 years with the organisation.

With roots as an independent theatre maker, Glasscock is a prominent arts leader and cultural advocate in NSW with an interest in the re-adaptation of spaces for the performing arts. She is the co-founding director of company 505, which oversaw the iconic, now-closed live music club Venue 505 and Newtown’s Old 505 Theatre.
Glasscock is an active contributor to policy development for the creative sector, working with the NSW Government’s Creative Communities cultural policy and 24 Hour Economy Strategy, and the national Revive cultural policy. She is the Board Director of the Night Time Industries Association and Create NSW’s Festivals Artform Board.
Under Glasscock’s watch, Sydney Fringe tripled ticketed attendance, increased box office revenue back to artists by over 400 percent, and was listed by the NSW Government as a Foundation Event, said Sydney Fringe Chair Maree Taylor....
