Ludwig Göransson has collected the second of the year’s three major film industry awards for Best Score, picking up a BAFTA last night for his score for Oppenheimer. He took home a Golden Globe for his work only last month.

Already a hot favourite to win an Oscar in the Best Original Score category on 11 March, the Swedish composer looks likely to join the list of recent triple award winners that includes Iceland’s Hildur Guðnadóttir (TÁR, Joker), Hans Zimmer (Dune), Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (the Pixar animation Soul) and Justin Hurwitz for La La Land.

Oppenheimer collected another six BAFTAs on the night for Best Director (Christopher Nolan); Best Film; Best Leading Actor (Cillian Murphy); Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), Best Cinematography and Best Editing

Emma Stone was judged Best Actress for her leading role in Yorgis Lanthimos’ Poor Things (which was also awarded Best Production Design and Best Costume Design).
