Composer Ludwig Göransson has won the 2026 Oscar for Best Original Score for Sinners, taking the prize at the 98th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on 15 March. The ceremony honoured films released in 2025.

Göransson’s win adds a third Academy Award to the Swedish composer’s shelf, as well as marking a significant moment for Sinners, which began the night as the most nominated film of the year. He claimed the statuette over category nominees Jerskin Fendrix for Bugonia, Alexandre Desplat for Frankenstein, Max Richter for Hamnet and Jonny Greenwood for One Battle After Another.
Göransson has previously won Oscars for his scores for Black Panther and Oppenheimer.
