Just hours after Prince William and Catherine Middleton tie the knot next month, Decca Classics will release the recording of the event online. The near-instantaneous availability of the digital download on April 29 “will capture a piece of history for a new generation”, said Decca Records president Dickon Stainer. This is the first time an official royal album will enter the worldwide digital charts, and the anticipated demand suggests the newlyweds could rocket straight to the Number One spot.
