The Sydney Opera House has today announced the latest line-up for UnWrapped.

The series, which commissions and platforms work from independent Australian artists and companies, centres on female artists in this latest program, which begins in May with the world premiere of the chamber opera Three Marys and THE REMIX from Hot Brown Honey, a cabaret work created by First Nations women blending hip-hop, dance, comedy and theatre.

Three Marys is a collaboration between composer Andrée Greenwell and the US-based, Perth-raised librettist Christine Evans. It receives its world premiere in UnWrapped with four performances from 11–13 May.

Greenwell is the Artistic Director of Green Room Music, and has composed for film, music theatre, theatre and chamber opera. Evans is a playwright, novelist and Australian Fulbright alumni, whose works have been produced by Belvoir, Adelaide Festival and across America.
