We are in an inner-city apartment. The trepidation of a thousand bad dates hangs in the air. This one – blind – evokes a particularly high level of discomfort.

Outside is the city with traffic and chaos. Inside this orderly home, a man has cooked dinner for a woman he has never met. They are about to have a life changing experience, but blissfully unaware, they have agreed to a sight unseen rendezvous. If their love lottery objective were to make a lasting impression, they are in for quite the surprise.

As far as contemporary musical theatre collabs go, this world premiere is world class. Last seen in 2015 in Adelaide Fringe show Late Night Story*, Van Badham (book and lyrics) and Richard Wise (music and lyrics) reunite in the sort of collaboration that great songwriting partnerships are made of.
