Céline Dion will forever be associated with James Cameron’s blockbuster 1997 film Titanic, starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, even though she only sang one song.

And one Céline Dion song is simply not enough as far as Tye Blue, Marla Mindelle and Constantine Rousouli are concerned. So, not have they added a few more of her hits, they’ve written the French-Canadian superstar into their joyously irreverent musical parody of the film, Titanique.

The hilarious, camper than camp send-up, which was co-authored by the trio and directed by Blue, has become a massive hit in New York.

Now, the cult off-Broadway show has docked in Sydney – its first international port of call – where it has set up ship in The Grand Electric, a venue known for staging comedy and circus-cabaret.
