Sydney Symphony Orchestra: Bryce Dessner & the Sydney Symphony
24 September @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm AEST

Known to many from American rock band The National, Dessner is also a leading figure in contemporary classical music.
He ‘slips in and out of musical guises with disarming ease…his gorgeous and full-hearted music’ (NPR) blurring the lines between genres, shaped by collaborations with icons like Steve Reich and Philip Glass and composing for major orchestras and ensembles around the world.
In this special concert featuring several of his richly textured, rhythmic and cinematic works, Dessner will feature as guitarist in a program that invites you to experience the Orchestra in an entirely new way.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or new to his sound, this is a rare chance to see one of today’s most inventive musicians live, in a powerful collaboration with the Sydney Symphony.
