Classic Choruses : from Messiah, Elijah, The Creation, St John Passion, Carmina Burana & more

Classic Choruses have been chosen from the very best of the choral spectrum. These lasting works by our greatest composers never fall from favour. From sacred oratorios of rhythmic intensity to song-like melodies and works that range from complex Baroque counterpoint to dramatic Romantic storytelling, Heidelberg Choral Society’s April concert will be a celebration of joy, devotion, drama and theatrical flair.

Conducted by Peter Bandy, with soprano soloist Teresa Ingrilli, keyboard accompaniment from Kathryn Pisani and Joseph Hie, plus a brass ensemble, Classic Choruses promises to be an afternoon rich in innovative harmonies and emotional appeal.
