Behind the doors of Toorak Synagogue, a spectacular dome glows above an evening of chamber music. Begin at the gin bar, take in the architecture, then settle in for The Boundless Heart.

Australian Chamber Orchestra violinist Satu Vänskä joins cellist Elina Faskhi and one of Australia’s most beloved concert pianists, Konstantin Shamray. Haydn’s exuberant Gypsy Trio belongs to the set dedicated to the London widow he fell for while married. Shostakovich began his First Piano Trio at sixteen, after meeting Tatyana Glivenko. Ravel’s Piano Trio adds shimmering colours and sweeping passion.

David Griffiths hosts and joins the artists on clarinet for a little klezmer, bringing an extra spark to Live at Yours’ final Toorak concert of the year.
