Sydney Art Quartet presents Spring Awakening, a musical journey through more than 230 years of music inspired by nature, blossoms and the changing seasons.

Beginning with Mozart’s radiant Spring Quartet, the program moves through the intimate sound world of Kurtág’s Aus der Ferne III”and the exquisite sonic landscape of Toshio Hosokawa’s Blossoming. Webern’s deeply expressive Langsamer Satz brings late-Romantic warmth before the concert concludes with Haydn’s profound String Quartet Op. 76 No. 5.

In collaboration with Sogetsu Ikebana floral artists, Spring Awakening brings music and floral art together in an immersive celebration of spring at Redfern Town Hall.
