Drawing on folk tales, poetry, and theatrical traditions, Melanie Walters presents a recital of contemporary flute works that weaves stories through music & text. This eclectic program includes Andrew Ford’s Once upon a time there were two brothers… and Wendy Hiscocks’ Keshovati.
Recently named the SA State Luminary at the 2026 Art Music Awards, Melanie Walters is an Adelaide-based flute player who specialises in contemporary music. Her previous Fringe shows have been described in reviews as “exceptional”, “highly original”, “captivating”, and “mesmerising and inspiring”
