Louise Bezzina will deliver her sixth and final Brisbane Festival as Artistic Director in September. However, she won’t be moving far. In October, she will take up the position of CEO/Artistic Director of Brisbane’s Powerhouse.

“It’s been one of the great honours of my career,” said Bezzina. “I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and excited to deliver one final program that celebrates the energy and creativity of this city.”
Kerri Glasscock has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Create NSW. She will take up the position in June after stepping down as Festival Director and CEO of the Sydney Fringe Festival after 12 years in the role.

With roots as an independent theatremaker, Glasscock is a prominent arts leader and cultural advocate with an interest in the readaptation of spaces for the performing arts. She is the co-founding Director of company 505, which oversaw the former live music club Venue 505 and Newtown’s Old 505 Theatre.
