New music trailblazer Ensemble Offspring invites audiences to celebrate the return of live Australian music with its micro-festival Listen Up!, which takes place at the newly-refurbished Cell Block Theatre at the National Art School on 11 September.

The two-concert series features a program dedicated to living composers and is performed by a rich line-up of diverse musicians, led by Artistic Director Claire Edwardes.

For me, the two parts sort of signify what it is that Ensemble Offspring stands for – eclectic, fresh and vibrant new music, with unique collaborations that are culturally meaningful,” says Edwardes, as she outlines what Listen Up! aims to achieve.
