Welcome to the Australian Art Music playlist! A monthly playlist of classical, jazz, experimental and electronic music focused on contemporary Australian composers, musicians and sound artists.

In our annual tradition, December’s playlist is a recap of some of the excellent music that has been released (or re-released) this year. There were multiple tracks on albums released this year that were a close second, or didn’t match quite the theme of the original playlist – so where possible I wanted to shout those out here.

As always, these tracks are a starting point for your own explorations. I really recommend listening to the full albums if anything catches your ear. And, if Christmas has gotten you in the giving mood, many of these are available on Bandcamp (see the Merch Table link), or have physical albums available.
