The Federal Government has announced that $40 million will be allocated to 82 arts organisations across the country in the fourth batch of grants from the $200 million Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund.
The RISE grants were introduced in June 2020 as part of the government’s arts rescue package. Initially the fund was given $75 million to help arts organisations get back on their feet after being stymied by COVID restrictions. This was increased to $200 million in March 2021.

In this latest round of RISE grants, the Australian World Orchestra was allocated $485,000 for its 2022 concert series and education and upskilling programs; the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) received $73,700 towards the ANAM Set Weekend, when the new music it commissioned from 67 composers will be performed over a two-day festival; State Opera South Australia received $369,000 for a major production to...
