With three festival debuts, a world premiere work and a handful of returning favourites, the 2024 Coriole Music Festival lineup has been revealed. Themed ‘To Find a Way Home’, the festival offers three concerts at McLaren Vale’s Coriole Vineyards across the weekend of 18-19 May.
“Whether it’s finding a way home, a lost home or the search for a place to belong, for all of the featured composers the term home carries many different meanings”, said Artistic Director Simon Cobcroft.
In 2022, the cellist was appointed the festival’s new Artistic Director after the departure of Anna Goldsworthy for a three-year tenure; Cobcroft’s debut festival earned a five-star Limelight review in May.
“Cobcroft has devised a musical programme which builds upon the festival’s already staunch foundations,” wrote Brett Allen-Bayes. “Coriole must be one of the best boutique festivals in the country.”
