Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2024

Ahead of a major redevelopment of its Kings Cross premises, Griffin Theatre Company has announced its 2024 season.

The first ever staging of Louis Nowra’s The Lewis TrilogySummer of the Aliens, Cosi and This Much is True – will serve as the last hurrah for the 105-seat theatre prior to a total refurbishment that will increase seating capacity by 44 percent, upgrade the theatre’s dressing rooms and rehearsal spaces and improve venue accessibility.

Spanning five decades, The Lewis Trilogy chronicles the arc of Lewis’ life as he ages from a teenaged boy to idealistic young adulthood to Kings Cross veteran. As the sun sets on Lewis’ journey, audiences will leave the historic home of Griffin for the last time and see Kings Cross in a different light. Actor-singer Paul Capsis will feature in an ensemble cast including Thomas Campbell, Philip Lynch and Nikki Viveca.
