Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2024

In 2024, the Hayes Theatre Co celebrates its 10th anniversary – and it has plenty to be proud of.

Tiny though the 115-seat venue is, it has made a big impact on Sydney’s musical theatre scene, presenting a wide range of inventively staged shows, produced both in house and by independent companies.

Particularly memorable productions include Dean Bryant’s award-winning Sweet Charity, which launched the company in February 2014, his productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Assassins and Merrily We Roll Along, along with Calamity Jane, directed by Richard Carroll, and American Psycho, directed by Alexander Berlage, to name just a few.
