Il Divo has announced Australian dates following on from the popera superstars’ 2023 European tour.

In shows featuring guest singer Patrizio Buanne, Il Divo will perform in four cities in October and November, commencing in Sydney on 31 October, before touring to Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide.

These shows mark the first performances by the group in Australia since the COVID-19 death of the Spanish baritone Carlos Marín in 2021, aged 53. He had been a core member of the group since 2003.

Il Divo veterans Urs Bühler, Sébastien Izambard and David Miller will be bolstered by the Mexican-American baritone Steven LaBrie and the Neapolitan crooner Buanne.

“We haven’t been to Australia in some time and are excited to come back to perform for our Aussie fans,” said the group in a media statement. “Australia has always been a big supporter of Il Divo, and after all the tragedy of the last three years, we are beyond elated to return”.
