Academy of St Martin in the Fields with Joshua Bell
The Sydney Opera House’s 50th Birthday Festival continues with a highly anticipated concert by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. Led by Grammy Award-winner Joshua Bell (see our interview on page 48), the orchestra will also visit Melbourne and Brisbane, presenting three different programs during the tour. The first of these includes Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, which Bell performed on his first recording with the Academy in 1988.
