Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2024

Live at Yours has launches its fourth season, one spotlighting Heritage-listed architecture as well as great music in a season embodying the notion of “Travelling without moving”.

Performances will be held at the Great Synagogue in Sydney and Toorak Synagogue in Melbourne, with each concert designed to take audiences beyond their usual geographical, musical and cultural boundaries.

Created by conductor-pianist Vladimir Fanshil and his soprano partner Eleanor Lyons in 2020 as a response to the death of performing opportunities created by COVID-19 (among its first events were micro-concerts held in private homes), Live At Yours has, in relatively short time, become a major player on the classical music concert scene. It now draws upwards of 800 people to concerts played by some of Australia’s leading instrumentalists.

Live At Yours is not only a concert, but an experience, Fanshil told Limelight in 2023. “We love characterful architecture and unusual spaces, in which a broader audience feels at ease.
