Malthouse Theatre’s 2025 season promises powerful narratives, innovation and an increased commitment to accessibility.
Responding to the economic climate – particularly the issues affecting younger audience members – Matthew Lutton, now in his ninth year as Artistic Director, has announced that ticket prices will been lowered across the board, and that, for the first time, an ‘early bird’ discount will be available for every production.

“We’ve designed this season for the curious – theatre-goers who seek adrenaline, fun, rich ideas, and a chance to explore what theatre can be,” Lutton said.
“We’ve brought together artists at the peak of their craft, each offering something unique. With more accessible pricing, we want people to experience every production.”
Early bird tickets, offering 25 percent off all shows, will be available from 10 October to 31 October, with prices starting at $38. Standard ticket prices range from $50 to $85, with concessions available from $20 to $55.
