New South Wales live music venues are set to gain global exposure through Spotify’s new Venue Pages feature, following a push by the Minns Labor Government to prioritise the state in the global rollout.

Sydney will join New York, London and Paris among the first cities to benefit from the new platform, which launches today, 21 October, worldwide. The initiative follows direct discussions between the NSW Government and Spotify AUNZ to channel more of the benefits of streaming into the local live music ecosystem.

Venue Pages gives live music venues their own dedicated profile on Spotify, allowing fans to browse upcoming gigs, follow favourite venues, and purchase tickets directly via official partners. The platform will also provide a personalised live events feed, with recommendations curated by user location, listening habits and followed venues.
