Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2023

With six world premieres in the lineup,  the Metropolitan Orchestra has announced its 2023 season. It features four mainstage concerts, alongside its first-ever Chamber Music Festival, its family-friendly Cushion Concert Series, and a special event featuring movie music. The orchestra is also performing in the Sydney Opera House’s production of Amadeus, starring Michael Sheen, which runs from 27 December until 21 January.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing our 2023 season to life. With seven commissioned world premieres by Australian composers, our season will deliver a perfect mixture of familiar and unfamiliar, taking audiences on an exciting journey through unique and captivating programs, that still feel accessible for all,” Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams tells Limelight.
