Two Sydney-based ensembles and a Melbourne-based trio have been selected to participate in the Australian Festival of Chamber Music‘s (AFCM) International Masterclasses Program.
Over five days (29 Jul–2 Aug), the three ensembles will receive coaching from AFCM artists in a series of free-to-attend masterclasses hosted at The Ville Resort-Casino.

The ensembles are the Andromeda Saxophone Quartet, Per Duo and Trio Lumina.
Andromeda Saxophone Quartet comprises Paige Gullifer, Ryan Piccione, Bella Fox and Rachel Down. In 2023, it received the Henderson Scholarship from The University of Sydney, supporting international travel. In 2022, the quartet placed as a finalist in the Sydney Conservatorium Concerto Competition and recent performance credits include Dots+Loops’ 2023 PLAYBACK and opening of the Sydney Botanic Gardens amphitheatre. It has received mentorship at the European University of Saxophone in France.
