Voting has opened for the ABC Classic 100: Greatest Of All Time, inviting audiences nationwide to nominate their favourite works as ABC Classic marks its 50th anniversary in 2026.

Announced on ABC Classic Breakfast by presenter Megan Burslem, the annual countdown will reveal Australia’s best-loved classical pieces across 6–7 June, broadcasting from 10am to 6pm each day.

The broadcaster also confirmed the return of its companion television event, the fourth ABC Classic 100 in Concert, set to premiere on ABC TV and ABC iview on 27 June.

Hosted by Burslem and Jeremy Fernandez (read more about his favourite music here), the concert will feature the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra under Principal Guest Conductor Benjamin Northey performing works selected in the countdown.

The “Greatest Of All Time” edition celebrates five decades of ABC Classic and the enduring popularity of the Classic 100 series, which has previously explored themes including piano, opera, screen music and concertos.

Voting is open via the ABC Classic website until 28 May, with listeners able to tune in via radio, online streaming or the ABC Listen app.
