Nicole van Bruggen, the co-founder of the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, is to step down as General Manager at the end of 2026 after 14 years in the role. She will continue as Co-Artistic Director alongside Rachael Beesley, as well as performing and teaching as ARCO’S Principal Clarinettist.

Co3 Contemporary Dance has announced the appointment of Co-Artistic Directors Charmene Yap and Cass Mortimer Eipper, both former dancers with Sydney Dance Company. The collaborators and partners will return to Western Australia to take on the role from January 2027 following the departure of Co3’s inaugural Artistic Director Raewyn Hill.

Piano+ has named distinguished arts and intellectual property lawyer Shane Simpson as Chair of its Board. His appointment comes as the Sydney International Piano Competition prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Simpson has held a number of leadership positions across the arts sector and brings more than 40 years of experience to the role. He is the founder and Special Counsel of Simpsons, a law firm specialising in entertainment, arts and intellectual property.
