This time next week, Sydney will again play host to Voices of Angels. Around 300 Sydney Children’s Choir choristers will be joined onstage at the Sydney Opera House by young performers from the Gondwana National Choirs representing every state and territory. The program is conducted by Lyn Williams and Gondwana Choirs’ Associate Artistic Director Sam Allchurch.

Voices of Angels has been held almost annually since 2006. “Young voices are the strongest symbol of hope for the future,” says Williams, Artistic Director of Gondwana Choirs. “Combine young voices with the artistry which the Sydney Children’s Choir and our Gondwana National Choirs bring to the stage and you have a performance which will rate extremely highly on the feel-good factor scale. We all need a massive dose of hope and great feelings at this time of year.” 

Williams explains that the program is inspired the stars and mystery – with a flurry of snow. “As ever, don’t expect a Gondwana concert to be one where the choirs just stand on stage and deliver a battery of songs. There are...
