Australian Chamber Orchestra: Scotland Unbound
In his Australian debut, Edinburgh-born guitarist Sean Shibe takes us to the Scottish Highlands with a selection from Lady Margaret Wemyss’s 17th-century lute book and Cassandra Miller’s Chanter, based on a North Highland air dating back to 1784. Then, on electric guitar, he plays Julia Wolfe’s Lad, originally written for bagpipes, and Martyn Bennett’s Bothy Culture, inspired by the 90s rave scene of his hometown.
