Australian Brandenburg Orchestra: Handel’s House
Japanese soprano Yukie Sato makes her Australian debut in this showcase of Handel’s genius. She breathes new life into arias from his first comic opera Partenope, written in 1730, and Alcina, which he composed for his first season at Covent Garden five years later. Pisendel’s Violin Concerto in D major also gets an outing.
