Spanning the weekend of 20–21 May, the Coriole Music Festival has announced its 2023 program, to be hosted in the Coriole Vineyards at South Australia’s McLaren Vale.

This is the first festival under the artistic direction of Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Cello Simon Cobcroft, who succeeds pianist Anna Goldsworthy in the position and whose last program received a 4-1/2 star Limelight review from Brett Allen-Bayes.

Now in its 23rd year, the Festival will feature world premiere works commissioned from South Australian composer Anne Cawrse by the Coriole Music Commissioning Fund, established in 2018 to fund the commissioning of new works for each annual festival. It will also feature the South Australian premiere of works composed by violist Justin Williams, as performed by pianist and frequent festival collaborator Daniel De Borah.
