Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2024

Perth’s Black Swan State Theatre Company has announced its 2024 season – seven productions including the world premiere of a play that welcomes audiences poolside, a revival of WA star Kate Mulvany’s career-making debut play from 2008, two internationally successful one-woman shows by Australian writer Suzie Miller, and an apocalyptic West End success.

The season “is a fascinating array of different ways to see the world through the lives of others,” said Black Swan’s Artistic Director, Kate Champion. “Each of these stories and every one of these characters have a unique reality to share with you – up close and personal, intriguing and insightful.”

Black Swan’s 2024 opens with The Pool (9 – 25 February). Co-presented by Perth Festival and written by Steve Rodgers (Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam) it invites audiences to take a metaphorical plunge into the lives and stories of a community of public pool swimmers.
