Australian Baroque: The Six Noongar Seasons
This cycle of six concertos explores the changing rhythms of Country through the music of Aaron Wyatt and poems by Gina Williams. Inspired by Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, the work traces the Noongar seasons of the southwest – Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang – as heat gathers, rain arrives and the land transforms. Performed with violinist Helen Kruger, it is presented in collaboration with Williams and West Australian Opera. A national tour is planned for 2027.
