For its 2024 season, Canberra Symphony Orchestra (CSO) crosses to the edge of both land and love, returning with fine music aplenty. Titled Earth and Sky, the season centres on a perception of the world that’s fundamentally human at its core and manifested in the creation of stories and music.
The fourth program under Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Jessica Cottis features five world premieres by Australian composers and divides itself into three series: Its mainstage Llewellyn Series; the Chamber Classics (which features the CSO Chamber Ensemble), and the Australian Series dedicated to the presentation of works by Australian composers and presented in the National Museum of Australia.
