Sydney-born singer and harpsichord player Liam Green has been selected as Pinchgut Opera‘s 2024 Continuo Fellow. He is the second musician to take part in the company’s in-house program designed to nurture the next generation of harpsichord and continuo players.

Addressing the lack of specific training in the area of continuo and harpsichord playing in Australia, the Fellow Program creates opportunities for the kinds of hands-on experience and exposure to rehearsals and performances essential to the art.

A singer from a young age, Green took up the harpsichord while attending the Conservatorium High School, and has pursued both disciplines simultaneously. As a harpsichordist, he has performed with Bach Akademie Australia, and is a regular collaborator with students at the Sydney Conservatorium, where he is currently completing a Bachelor of Music.
