Bobby Fox has a comprehensive skill set for musical theatre. Blessed with a fine tenor voice and comedic prowess, he is also a virtuosic tap dancer and former Irish dancing savant. As such, the label “Mr. Entertainment” is well earned and Fox’s ability to multitask gives him the scope to put together a captivating one-man variety show that showcases all of his talents.
An Irishman who ventured to Australia, forged a career, and ultimately stayed, Fox is also something of a throwback to song and dance legends like Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, his hero Sammy Davis Jr. and even Ann Miller. However, while Fox hearkens back to those legends, he infuses his show with a contemporary feel by using arrangements from musical director James Earl and the support of an eight-piece band with a standard drummer and a conga player providing a broad range of beats for those dancin’ feet.
