Making an impressive debut with proven talent on and off stage, new independent theatre company The Ninth Floor presents the Australian premiere of a tragicomic two-hander.

British playwright Simon Longman’s Milked is directed by Iain Sinclair, who has led productions for the likes of MTC – including the outstanding A View from the Bridge in 2019 – and STC. One half of the cast is The Ninth Floor’s Artistic Director, Laurence Boxhall, who played Christopher Wren in the recent national touring production of The Mousetrap.

Boxhall is joined by William McKenna, the original Scorpius Malfoy in the Australian production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. He was also memorable, particularly for an epic diatribe, in MTC’s Admissions.

The occasional recorded voice of a radio announcer is that of prolific actor Richard Piper, while lighting design is by five-time Green Room Award winner Richard Vabre.

Evidently Boxhall not only has a gift for acting, but also as a producer with a limited budget.
