In February, Richard Jackson stepped down as Executive Director of Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, after spending 11 years in the role. Adele Schonhardt is acting as interim Executive Director, sharing her time between MCO and Australian Digital Concert Hall, where she is a co-founding Executive Director. Mary Jo Capps is managing the search for Jackson’s permanent successor.

Australian pianist Andrea Lam and Russian-born, Australian-based pianist Konstantin Shamray have joined the teaching staff at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music.

Head of Keyboard, Associate Professor Jerry Wong, says they were appointed from a strong international pool of applicants. “Both Andrea and Konstantin bring with them a wealth of performing and teaching experience. During the search process, we were struck not only by their exceptional artistry, but by their warmth of character, vibrant energy and abundance of ideas about the future.”

Dr Mathew Trinca has joined the Canberra Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors. Earlier this year, he stepped down as Director of the National Museum of Australia after 10 years at the helm.
