Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2023

With a program featuring the works of First Nations, Australian and international composers, Darwin Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2023 season and, for the first time in more than 30 years, its renewed status as resident company at Darwin Entertainment Centre.

“The major arts centres across Australia are home to their local orchestras,” DEC General Manager Mike Harris said, “and it was clear to me when I started at DEC that this was something we also needed to achieve. This symbiotic relationship between arts centre and orchestra will create more exciting opportunities for both parties, and importantly for the people of the NT. I look forward to greater musical exploration and the chance to present more quality music at DEC with our partner, DSO.”
