Canberra Grammar School’s new Snow Concert Hall has announced its 2023 International Series, a winter program designed to show off the sonic possibilities of its acoustically-tuned, state-of-the-art, 936-seat auditorium.

The inaugural Series offers concerts by flautist Ana de la Vega, pianist Piers Lane, oboist Ramon Ortega Quero, and trumpeter-composer Wynton Marsalis with New York’s mighty Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.

De la Vega returns to Australia after 16 years on the world stage, a period in which she was hailed “one of the most outstanding artists of our time” by the Berliner Morgenpost.

In recent years, de la Vega has appeared as soloist in in concert halls including Philharmonie Berlin, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and London’s Wigmore Hall and has played with leading orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra, German Chamber Orchestra and English Chamber Orchestra.
