Last night, the Screen Music Awards announced its 2022 winners in a ceremony at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre, hosted by Akina Edmonds, Anne Edmonds and Aaron Pederson. Under the musical direction of Jessica Wells, William Barton performed a tribute to Uncle Jack Charles and Uncle Archie Roach, He was later joined by Fred Leone and gospel collective Gospo for the closing performance of Roach’s Song to Sing.

The Screen Music Awards are presented by APRA AMCOS and the Australian Guild of Screen performers. Presented at a live event for the first time in three years, the 2022 awards honoured both esteemed screen composers and new faces for their work on feature films, shorts documentaries, television, advertisements and children’s shows.
