Welcome to the Australian Art Music playlist! A monthly playlist of classical, jazz, experimental and electronic music focused on contemporary Australian composers, musicians and sound artists.

I was casting around for a theme for this month’s playlist and amidst Melbourne’s perchance for fog lately and few late post-concert nights I was drawn to clear night skies in the deep of winter. Some of this month’s piece are explicitly about stars and night, or light, radiance and refraction, others are (unapologetically) very vibes based. 

Many of the voices here are new, or new to me at least, and it’s always a pleasure to welcome to new people to the playlist (and find a more discographies to plunder!)
