For the past four weeks, Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra has been spending regular time at the Museum of Brisbane, composing music in response to the City in the Sun exhibition as the Museum’s Artist in Residence for August. Visitors to the Museum have been able to watch the musicians at work on the gallery floor. Now they will be able to see the results of the residency through a series of performances at the Museum.

“Museum of Brisbane’s (MoB) Artist in Residence program taps into the dynamism that artists and creative practitioners bring to our city,” the Museum’s Director and CEO Renai Grace tells Limelight.

“The program threads distinct voices and perspectives into our vibrant galleries and inspires creative dialogue with audiences. Camerata’s innovative and adventurous approach to creating experiences matches the Museum’s aims for the residency program, inviting artists to reimagine Brisbane’s stories.”
