Speak Percussion has announced that Kaylie Melville will join Eugene Ughetti as Co-Artistic Director for 2024. The appointment follows the announcement that Ughetti will join Canberra International Music Festival as its Artistic Director in 2024, after Roland Peelman’s final festival.

“We are thrilled to share the role of Co-Artistic Director, and eagerly anticipate the amazing work that will come to fruition,” said Melville and Ughetti. “We have been sharing stages, studios and staff meeting spaces for years, and our strong collaborative bond is the bedrock upon which this appointment has been founded.“  

Currently Assistant Artistic Director, Melville’s collaboration with Speak Percussion spans 10 years, after becoming the ensemble’s Young Artist in Residence in 2014.
