New Zealand-born Australian-based baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes has joined the University of Adelaide’s Elder Conservatorium of Music where he will play a leading role as a teacher and mentor in its Classical Voice department. A popular performer with Opera Australia and all of our state opera companies, Tahu Rhodes has sung at many of the most prestigious venues around the world and brings more than 25 years’ experience to the role.

“I’m humbled and excited to be joining the wonderful staff at the Elder Conservatorium of Music,” he said.

“In the formative years of my own study, I had amazing mentors and tutors, people I still remember vividly because of their influence on the career path I eventually took. I feel privileged to now be in the position to support other students and feel a great sense of responsibility to inspire and mentor a new generation of young singers at Elder.”
