ANAM Quartetthaus at Melbourne Museum
The largest celebration of Australian and British string quartet music comes to the grounds of the Royal Exhibition Building. Staged in the ANAM Quartetthaus – a purpose-built, 11-square-metre timber cube seating 52 patrons in concentric circles – the festival features three Australian and three British ensembles, bringing together 24 musicians in 56 concerts over 10 days. New works have been specially composed for the festival by Australian Jack Symonds and Hannah Kendall from the UK.
