The Friends of Chopin Australia: The Orava Quartet and Aleksandra Świgut in Concert
Enjoy the best of Poland in this concert commemorating Paderewski’s 1904 tour of Australia. Award-winning pianist Aleksandra Świgut joins Australia’s own Orava Quartet for Penderecki’s String Quartet No. 3, Kilar’s folkloric tone poem Orawa and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1. In 2018, Świgut was a prize-winner at the first International Chopin Competition on Period Instruments in Warsaw. She currently teaches at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.
